Anne Beth Gibson, Associate Attorney
Licensure: Ms. Gibson is licensed to practice law in the States of New Mexico and Texas.
Education: Ms. Gibson received her Juris Doctorate from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1997. She received a BA in Journalism with a minor in English and Sociology from the University of New Mexico in 1990.
Areas of Legal Emphasis: Ms. Gibson has more than 10 years of experience in the areas of domestic relations and criminal law. She worked as a prosecutor in both New Mexico and Texas, has worked in criminal defense and has extensive experience as a family law attorney. She has a strong background in child support establishment and enforcement from her work with the Texas General’s Child Support Enforcement Division and has worked as a child and family advocate as well as guardian ad litem in highly contested custody and divorce cases.
Present and Former Memberships: Member of Family Section of the New Mexico Bar Association and the Family Law Section of the Texas Bar Association.
Prior Associations and Experience: When not in the courtroom, Ms. Gibson brings her love of the law to her community. She has taught real estate law to paralegals and has made numerous presentations in the areas of domestic violence, child custody and domestic relations. She served as both coach and judge for the New Mexico High School Mock Trial program, and presented free informational sessions on obtaining federal assistance for child support and for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Ms. Gibson has repeatedly been selected to the Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas for her commitment to exceeding requirements for Continuing Legal Education, and has provided strong support to Law Line and other indigent law programs in both New Mexico and Texas.
